pH and heavy metals
Heavy metals imbalance body pH not only in the blood but also in the urine and saliva. Maintenance of body pH is important for the conservation of minerals in the body amongst body homeostasis or body balance. When a toxic metal enters the body, it creates an antagonism against the good minerals like calcium, magnesium and zinc. Where do we find these metals? Animals encounter these in their pastures, during times of spelling, rain water drinking and the breathed air. The most common exposure will be that used in conventional farming like insecticide, pesticide, fertilizer, superphosphate, copper sulphate or fungicide and the like. The level of cadmium, copper, mercury, arsenic, lead and aluminium can, with time, disrupt the need of the body towards mineral ratio harmony. For example, we’d experienced relatively high levels of lead and cadmium in samples of horse patients we had over the time. These two metals will disrupt the metabolism of calcium and no matter how much calcium we give to the horse, it will still suffer from skeletal metabolism problems as well as nervous system disruption. What we prescribe and manage to do with our remedies is a cellular detoxification of these toxins to allow your calcium supplement to be utilized by the horse!
Given our awareness to these matters, our iridology consultations incorporate water, saliva and, or urine sample testing of the animal for better understanding of their internal nutritional and biochemical needs. The findings are then treated with the appropriate nutritional, herbal or homeopathic remedy that we prescribe for your animal in question.
